Charles Glover
Former Post Quartermaster - Army

Charles Leroy Glover, age 72, of St. George, Kansas, died Saturday June 3, 2023.
 
Chuck was born on September 2, 1950 in Glendale, West Virginia, the son of Leroy and Stella (Klink) Glover. He graduated from the Moundsville High School with the class of 1968. He then entered the US Army.
 
Chuck served in the army for 22 years. He served in Vietnam, the Gulf War, Thailand, Panama, Germany and various other duty stations. He received a degree in Accounting and Business Administration. He then went on to be an over the road truck driver until his retirement party in 2022.
 
Chuck was united in marriage to Barbara Walker on January 17, 1970. She preceded him in death in 2011.
 
He was later united in marriage to Carol Gatsche on February 15, 2020 in Manhattan.
 
Chuck was a lifetime member of the VFW 1786 in Manhattan, the Pearce-Keller American Legion Post 17 in Manhattan, and also the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2468 in Manhattan. He was an avid coin collector for many years and had a very unique collection of coins. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
 
In addition to his first wife Barbara, he was also preceded in death by a son, Carroll Glover.
 
He is survived by his wife Carol Glover, of Manhattan; his step-children: Richard Howard (Carla), Ray Nordstrom (Tya), Michelle Herron and Tara Grindle (Cy); also, his siblings, Delores Hinerman, Dorothy Midcap, Lawrence Glover, and Clarence Glover; and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
