Ritchie Inns(SFC, Ret.) served with the US Army Infantry for almost 24 years between 1982 and 2011, including two years with the Nebraska Amy National Guard. During that time he completed three tours to Afghanistan totaling 29 months, first in 2005 as an Embedded Trainer with the Afghan National Army, in 2009 as the 1st Infantry Division Liaison Officer to the NATO Training Mission Afghanistan(NTMA), and from 2009-2010 as a Counterinsurgency Trainer and Camp Operations SGM. He also served on East German Border duty in Schweinfurt, West Germany from 1983-1985. Ritchie was also a US Army Recruiter for 10 years. After Retirement Ritchie went back to Afghanistan as a Counterinsurgency Senior Mentor for two years with the Afghan National Security Forces, US and NATO forces. Ritchie resides in Ogden, Kansas with his wife Ulrike. They have three grown children and three grandchildren. He currently teaches Middle School Social Studies in Manhattan, Kansas.
